It's time again for Weekend Reflections which is being hosted by James at Newtown Area Photo. If you would like to participate, the rules are very simple: 1.) post a reflective themed photograph on your blog. 2.) leave a comment on James' blog along with a link to your entry so others can visit you. 3.)Visit other players.
This photo was taken at Crystal Lake (the lake where the infamous Jason terrorized everyone in Friday the 13th). As you can see, it's really a very tranquil place, or is Jason lurking somewhere in the shadows, perhaps reflecting on his evil deeds and plotting more terror?

Is that him peeking his snarly head out of the bushes? Wonderful picture and so great for the theme. It's beautiful :)

Crystal Lake is so beautiful. The picture is awesome and the reflection doubles the beauty. Great shot! I'm glad that you lived to post it. :)
Thanks for being part of Weekend Reflections!

This is beautiful. I love the colors.

Aside from the gorgeous sky and the tranquil waters, it looks like a great place to fish.

Rebecca- isn't it funny how a little story can change your perception like that? Thanks for stopping by!
Crafty- thank you, and thanks for stopping by!
Thom- I used to have drive by here at 2:30 AM on my way to work and after those movies came out, I was terrified that Jason would jump out at me.
James- it is very pretty there, especially this time of year. It's rare though to find the water so still. I'm really enjoying this new meme of yours- glad you thought of it and started it!
Regina- thank you!
Dimple-thank you, too!
Becky & Gary- people fish there all the time, don't know what they catch but I see them out in their row boats.
6:44 PM
I see no evil in this beautiful scene. Then again, what or who lurks in the shadows?

Hi Cindy, its an amazing photo! The colors make Crystal Lake so calm and serene. The scenic reflection on the water is just magical!
Thanks for stopping by!

This reflection is excellent. That this lake was infamous in movies doesn't affect at all the beauty of this image.

Great Picture Cindy, I used to show those old Jason movies in the 1980's. After you've seen the 4th or 5th one, they weren't so scary anymore.
4:08 PM
That is beauitful, and looked really peaceful -- until I read the last paragraph!!
10:55 AM
AwareWriter- me either and if I remember right, Jason is at the bottom of the lake...
Ebie- thank you. It's all quiet over there again, the boy scouts have all gone home and all their canoes have been stored away for the winter. See you next weekend!
VogonPoet- maybe not, but it sure was creepy driving by there at 2-3 in the morning for a long time after they made those movies! Thanks for stopping by!
Bill- I know what you mean, after a while they were all the same, which definitely took the starch out of the scare factor.
Barbara- the area around the lake is really a boy scout camp and most of the year it is indeed a peaceful place.
