This was taken yesterday (16th) in the cornfield after we'd had 3-4 inches of snow overnight. It was so wet and heavy that it kept building up around the chopper head, plugging both the head and the snout so often that they had to give up chopping for the day.
These next two photos were both taken at Wiscoy Falls, on my way to Rochester to see the company Dr. yet again.

As for my trip to Rochester to see the company Dr.,there is at least a conclusion to the whole story now. Come Monday I will be submitting my resignation. I cried a few tears on the trip back, after all, I've been there over 10 years now. I've been a part of a great group of people to work with and met a lot of really nice people. I was blessed to have what I thought was the best loop of all, along with what I felt was the best group of passengers.
I'll bet that I never forget good old Ella and her perpetual cheerfulness in spite of all the difficulties she faces every singe day being blind and nearly deaf. More than one morning she would board the bus and just start singing, at the top of her lungs and not caring in the least what anyone else thought- one song she often sang was "This Is The Day". The first line is "This is the day that the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it!" And she did.
It was a good job and there's no doubt- I will miss it. But I also know that if God closes one door, He opens another and I'm looking forward to seeing what's behind that new door.

Brrrr...Wonderful photos :)

That first photo has made me very grateful for Hawaii!
I am sorry to read that you have to resign from your beloved job. I have great confidence that God has something wonderful in store for you.
9:52 PM
Libby- I don't doubt it for a second! Glad to see you out and about. Hope you're feeling a whole lot better!
Thom-I'd rather be where you took your photo. I'm sure it's a whole lot warmer!
Quilly-you mean you don't miss the snow!? Not that I blame you!
As for the job, I'm sort of sad, but it's the start of a whole new chapter in my life.

I like the third picture the most, love the composition.
Sorry about reading about your job. I am sure a new door will be opening for you really soon.
3:35 PM
Bill- it's so pretty and peaceful there. The old mill is abandoned and the only noise you hear is the water going over the falls. If you were to hike upstream you would find that it's a series of 7 tiers, ending in what is called Mills Mills, which is where I lived as a kid.
As for my job- I know that God will open another door and I'm excited to see what it will be.
9:08 PM
Those are gorgeous shots! But I am glad it's not snowing here!
I'm sorry about the job. Ella sounds like a treasure. But as you and Quilly said, I'm sure God has something in store for you. It will be exciting to hear what it is.
9:52 AM
Barbara- thank you! It's a bright sunny morning here today, and most of the snow has disappeared, making it look like October ought to look. Hopefully we will now get a nice long Indian Summer!
And you're right- it will be an exciting adventure to see what God has in store for me next.
6:04 PM
I will be praying that God points you to the next door.
